Botticellli's Florence

Botticelli is one of the best-loved artists of the Florentine Renaissance. This lecture looks at his career and at the city that shaped his art, putting his paintings in their historical context and showing how they reflect Botticelli’s world.

Lecturer:    Paul Nuttall - Director of V&A Medieval & Renaissance Year course. Author of  From Flanders to Florence: the Impact of Netherlandish Painting 1400-1500 (Yale, 2004). Also lectures for the Courtauld Institute, Christie's Education, the Art Fund and the National Gallery. Formerly lecturer at the British Institute of Florence.
