Bath Afternoon DFAS

Bath Afternoon Decorative and fine Arts Society (Bath Afternoon DFAS) has a friendly, active membership who share an appreciation of and commitment to the arts.  We have an exciting and wide-ranging programme of lectures, Special Interest days, gallery visits, trips away and other social activities.  New members and visitors are always welcome at our meetings in the Banqueting Room at the Guildhall in Bath (see below).  For details  of this season’s programme, use the links at the top of the page.

Bath Afternoon Decorative and Fine arts Society is a member society of NADFAS, the National Association. NADFAS is an education charity set up to promote the appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts and to help in the preservation of our artistic heritage. NADFAS celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018 and Bath DFAS was 35 years old in 2016.

Bath Afternoon DFAS promotes its aims through lectures (nine per season running from September or October to June) on the Fine and Decorative arts in the widest sense and through Special Interest Days, as well as visits and tours. We also promote Arts for the young through Young Arts and the not so young in Community Arts. Our members can also be involved in other volunteering activities such as Church Recording  and Heritage Volunteers.
